The service is available around the clock at 15-47. Calls are free from landlines and mobiles, anonymous and confidential.
The line operates in a test mode and is the result of joint work of various ministries and departments. It was established on the basis of the Government Contact Center at the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy and the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers (Dmytro Dubilet, Yulia Guseva), supported by Olena Zelenska and Maria Efrosinina, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and National Police, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Education.
In January 2020, the first training session of the School of Training of Consultants of the Government Contact Center for Prevention and Counteraction to Domestic Violence according to European standards was held with the financial support of the Government of the United Kingdom under the # UNFPAUkraine program.
According to Deputy Minister of Social Policy for European Integration Serhiy Nizhynsky, the call center operator not only records the appeal or redirects it to the relevant competent authorities, but can also provide psychological assistance to victims of violence online.
On the hotline:
- provide informational, psychological and legal advice to men and women who have suffered from domestic violence, gender-based violence, violence against children, or on the threat of committing such violence,
- Psychological assistance is provided to women, men and children victims of domestic violence.
That is, if necessary, a person will receive practical information on what to do and where to go if a threat or problem is identified.
